Go-to person is gone
We lost a great one this year.
I joined Congregation Ahavath Torah over 15 years ago. The first sentence any new congregant heard was “just ask Barbara,” referring to Barbara Feintuch, our shul’s go-to person, who passed away unexpectedly this year. Even the children knew that to get anything done, one had to “just ask Barbara.” I have been a member of numerous synagogues in various cities and countries, but never have I seen anyone with her talent, expertise, and energy. No task was too small or too great for her attention. Our congregation continues to operate and even grow, but her absence will always be felt.
