‘From Bima to Broadway IV’

The Montebello Jewish Center in Montebello, N.Y., presents “From Bima to Broadway IV” on Saturday, November 11. It features eight cantors, who come from New Jersey, from Rockland and Westchester counties, and from Long Island; it also includes the synagogue’s adult, children, and teen choirs performing Israeli, cantorial, and musical theater selections. Dessert reception follows. The cantors from New Jersey are Matthew Axelrod of Temple Beth Israel, Scotch Plains, Sheldon Levin of Congregation Neve Shalom, Metuchen, and Janet Ilene Roth of the Summit Jewish Center. The cantors from New York are Michelle Rubin and cantorial student Jacob Sandler of the Montebello Jewish Center, Ellen Arad of Beth-El Synagogue, New Rochelle, Marcey Wagner of Temple Isaiah, Stony Brook, and David Wallach of Pearl River.
