Fit for duty?
Harry Riedler assumes that criticism of Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann is based on anti-conservative views and/or misogyny (Aug. 19). This completely dismisses the opinions of those who feel these two women are undeserving of national office, and, in fact, are frightened by the prospect. There are many examples of how neither woman is knowledgeable or respectful. Sarah Palin walked out of an elective office for which she swore an oath to uphold. This is egregious and reprehensible behavior. Michele Bachmann often displays a flagrant ignorance of basic American history. How can anyone take her seriously? I wonder whether anyone supporting either of these women would have different reactions if Palin and Bachmann were Democrats?
