Emerson shul congregants volunteer for Family Promise

More than 50 members of Congregation B’nai Israel of Emerson, in partnership with Family Promise of Bergen County, prepared more than 140 meals for the Family Promise Walk-In Dinner Program at the Bergen County Human Services Center in Hackensack. Above, from left, are David and Linda Spatz, Renee and Warren Kuperinsky, and Carolyn and George Ginsberg, who served the meals at the center. CBI’s Social Action Committee, chaired by Linda Spatz and Carolyn Ginsberg, along with more than 45 other volunteers, prepared and delivered the meals. Family Promise helps support working families with children who are facing homelessness. For information about shul programs, email socialaction@bisrael.com.
