Elana Silber will succeed the late Rochelle Shoretz, Sharsheret’s founder, as its executive director. Ms. Shoretz died earlier this year.
Ms. Silber came to the organization as a volunteer 13 years ago and never left. She is part of the team that grew the organization from a handful of volunteers to the national organization it is today, with 12 support and education programs serving more than 50,000 women, families, health care professionals, community leaders, and students on campus; a multiyear federal grant from the CDC, and a 4-star high ranking from Charity Navigator.
