Disputes Palin characterization

I am upset that someone who knows nothing about Sarah Palin was appalled by her nomination and considers her “vulgar” (Letters, Jan. 1).

I encourage the reading of her autobiography and her complete statements about Israel. A politician’s complete opinions on a subject are his or her own. The public “buys” simple statements without fancy sophistication.

“Change” is a simple statement that got the present president elected. His statements lacked sophistication and real substance.

It is time for a woman to be elected to the position of president or vice president. The latest poll shows Sarah Palin 2 percent behind Hillary Clinton as the most popular woman in America. I guess most Americans are simple, without fancy sophistication, and vulgar after all.
