The Helen Diller Foundation will present the 2021 Diller Teen Tikkun Olam awards in a virtual celebration on Monday, August 16, at 11 a.m.
Each year, the awards celebrate 15 exceptional teens from across the nation for their leadership in a project that’s aimed at making the world a better place in the spirit of the Jewish value of tikkun olam — repairing the world. The awardees each receive $36,000 to further their initiative or education.
Students including Maurice Korish, 17, of Randolph; Jordan Grabelle, 16, of Voorhees; and Jerry Orans, 16, of Mamaroneck, N.Y, will join the other 12 in interactive panel discussions. Some of the teens have garnered national media coverage in the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, Time magazine, and other outlets. Details on the 2022 nominations will be provided at the program, so teens in the audience can get a jump start on their applications.
