Three new apartments are being added to the Chabad House at Rutgers University, which already claims to be the largest Chabad house in the world.
Rutgers University has about 7,000 Jewish students. The need for housing for Rutgers students who want to live in a Chabad House has grown, and the facility is nearing capacity in both its men’s and women’s dormitories. Chabad is adding furnished apartments to house nine more students. Officials expect the construction to be completed before students move onto campus on September 1. The expanded Chabad House is expecting to house 90 students, and to provide kosher meals for 500 students daily. For information, call (732) 296-1800 or email email@example.com.
