To help New Jersey’s homebound seniors, a population that is fiercely impacted by isolation because of the ongoing pandemic, Friendship Circle New Jersey — a Jewish organization that provides inclusive Jewish educational and recreational programming –distributed more than 400 Shabbat and Purim kits to help them celebrate.
Each kit came with hamantaschen, challah, and other traditional festive foods.
After the meal kit distribution, Friendship Circle hosted a socially distanced drive-in Purim event on-site for children with special needs and their families, complete with holiday programming and a prize giveaway for children in costumes. Nearly 50 families were at the masquerade-themed event. For more information, go to fcnj.com.
