Naomi and Dr. Daniel Feuer and Drs. Lynn Sugarman and David Wisotsky co-hosted a Norpac pro-Israel meeting in Englewood for Congressman Mark Meadows (R-N.C.).

Mr. Meadows was elected to Congress after a 27-year career as a small business owner. He sits on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee; since 2015, he has chaired that committee’s Subcommittee on Government Operations. He also sits on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, where he serves on the Subcommittee on the Middle East and North Africa.

Mr. Meadows came to recognition among the pro-Israel community in 2014, when he introduced the Hezbollah International Financing Prevention Act. The legislation, which passed the following year with overwhelming support, cut off Hezbollah’s access to U.S. banks. He is also chair of the Freedom Caucus in the House. At the Norpac meeting, Mr. Meadows discussed his follow-up legislation that would tighten sanctions even further by disallowing U.S. banks to deal with other entities working with Hezbollah.

He is finishing his third term in Congress and is seeking re-election in November.
