“Viral: Anti-Semitism in Four Mutations” explores the recent rise in anti-Semitism, which is increasing in ways not seen since the 1930s, in the United States and Europe. The film also offers firsthand accounts from victims, witnesses, and others who have experienced it.

The Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey will host a community discussion on Zoom with its creator, filmmaker Andrew Goldberg, on Tuesday, August 31, at 7:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to watch the film before the program; it’s available on one of the streaming channels. Pre-registration is required.

The program is part of this summer’s “Community Movie Watch: Documentaries to Broaden Your Understanding of Diversity.” This session is sponsored by the JCC of Northern NJ and the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey. Community collaborating groups include Community Relations Advisory Committee of Fair Lawn, Community Relations Advocacy Network of Glen Rock, and Ridgewood Ambassadors for Global Citizenship.

If you can’t make this session, join the community groups for a second session on Thursday, Sept 2, at 2 p.m., sponsored by the Ridgewood Library and featuring moderators Neil Garfinkle, a Holocaust educator, and Rabbi Ronald Roth; Andrew Goldberg will be at the August 31 session only. To register, go JCCNNJ.org/Viral
