Classical and folk music in Teaneck
Abe Barzelay, an Israeli-American harmonica virtuoso, will perform a unique concert of classical music and folk tunes, with compositions by Mendelssohn, Rimsky-Korsakov, Rachmaninoff, Shostakovich, Gershwin, Smetana and more. It’s on June 8, at 7 p.m., at the Puffin Cultural Forum in Teaneck. Pianist Ayelet Cogan will accompany him.
Maestro Barzelay was recently awarded first place in the world international competition of classical harmonica players organized by the European Association.
