On Wednesday, June 15, Chabad of Old Tappan will celebrate 10 years of service to the Jewish community with a gala at the Old Tappan Manor. Ron Karr, an author and speaker, is the evening’s chair.

Devora Lewis and Maritza Estrin, the guests of honor, will be recognized for their dedication and contributions to Chabad of Old Tappan and the community. Dr. Victor Borden of Old Tappan will receive the community service award  in recognition of his achievements and heroic acts on behalf of Soviet Jewry.

Rabbi Mendy and Devora Lewis have been the leaders of Chabad of Old Tappan for the past decade. “It’s exciting to celebrate 10 years,” Rabbi Lewis said. “I see this as an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the past, to acknowledge the vision and generosity of those who have made it all possible, and to commit to increasing our efforts in the future.”

The evening will include a cocktail reception, open bar, auction, sit-down dinner, and presentation by a chassidic folk duo, Rogers Park (Yosef Peysin and Mordy Kurtz). A journal will be published in conjunction with the event. For information, call (201) 767-4008 or go to www.chabadot.org/gala.
