New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy’s office invited community leaders from across the state, including Chabad rabbis Yosef and Mendy Carlebach, to the outdoor SHI Football Stadium at Rutgers University as he announced the 2021 fiscal year state budget. Afterward, the rabbis invited Dr. Jonathan Holloway, RU’s incoming president, to visit Chabad House at Rutgers, the largest Jewish center in any public university in the world. Deborah Cornavaca, the governor’s deputy chief of staff, thanked the rabbis, and added that all New Jersey citizens will be praying for a better new year ahead.
