Cemetery Association to reinstall veterans memorial plaques
The Cemetery Association and the trustees of the YM/YWHA will reinstall and rededicate the Ruben Kaufman Post 36 Veterans Memorial. The memorial first stood outside Temple Emanuel of North Jersey in Paterson. When the shul moved to Franklin Lakes, the memorial was moved to the old Y in Wayne. Now, it will be installed in the new Veterans’ Memorial section that is being established on the United Jersey Verein Cemetery on McBride Avenue in Woodland Park. A ceremony will take place this Sunday, June 8, at noon. Two new monuments that contain the two veterans memorial plaques that had been on the outside wall of the Y also will be reinstalled.
