CBS/FLJC to honor Steven Montag
Congregation B’nai Sholom/Fair Lawn Jewish Center (CBS/FLJC) will honor its outgoing president, Steven Montag, at an ad journal gala luncheon on Sunday, June 22.
Steven Montag is the son of Polish-born Holocaust survivors. His mother and grandmother were the family’s sole survivors from the concentration camps and Kielce pogrom, and his father’s family fled to Russia and worked in Siberian labor camps. Mr. Montag grew up with a love of Yiddishkeit and Judaism, which continues till today in his dedication to CBS/FLJC, formerly the Fair Lawn Jewish Center. For 37 years, he and his wife, Dr. Rona Riegelhaupt, and their two daughters, Danielle and Carly, and their families have celebrated their Jewish family life events at the synagogue.
Tickets to the gala are $218 per person; it’s only $200 for reservations made before May 9. There will be an online ad journal. For information, reservations, or to make a donation, call the synagogue office at (201) 796-5040.
