Cantor emeritus honored in Wayne

Before Kabbalat Shabbat services at Wayne’s Temple Beth Tikvah on June 28, a tree of life was dedicated to its beloved cantor emeritus, Charles Romalis.

Over 60 years, Cantor Romalis taught more than 2,500 bar and bat mitzvah and confirmation students, and performed life cycle events with care, love, gentleness, empathy, and support.
