Calls kiddush clubs a ‘shanda’

Rabbi Shmuly Yanklowitz makes such good sense about kiddush clubs (Aug. 9) that I can only wonder why it has taken so long to get this shanda out in the open. We should also take a long, hard look at open bars at b’nei mitzvah parties, weddings, and other simchas where children are present and are observing “adult” behavior. I doubt anyone could find a religious precedent for the vodka bar.
