Brunch adds touch of reality

Guests enjoyed a unique sensory experience by dining in the dark during last month’s Jerusalem Institute for the Blind’s first Blackout Brunch. The event at the Fifth Avenue Synagogue in Manhattan was to benefit the visually impaired in Israel. Leo Brandstatter, the executive director of the Jerusalem Institute for the Blind’s New York office, was the guest speaker.

For more than 100 years, the Jerusalem Institute for the Blind has provided a wide array of educational, rehabilitative, health, and social welfare activities for blind and visually impaired children and teens in Israel.
