Bris Avrohom holds its 39th annual dinner and gala wedding celebration on Sunday, November 11, at the Sheraton Parsippany.
Sheila Oliver, the NJ state lieutenant governor, will give the keynote address.
The Community Service award will be presented to representatives of the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey who help Bris Avrohom celebrate Chanukah with travelers by lighting menorahs under their jurisdiction. The representatives are Dianne Ehler, director of tunnels, bridges, and terminals; Jennifer Davis, chief of intergovernmental affairs; and Janice Stein, engineer of projects.
Couples from the Former Soviet Union will be married according to Jewish tradition. To date, Bris Avrohom has married about 950 couples who were denied that freedom. For reservations, go to brisavrohom.org/dinner/register or call (908) 612-3890.
