BCHSJS open house on Sunday
The Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies will hold orientation and registration for the school year on Sunday, September 16, at 9:30 a.m., at the Moriah School in Englewood. BCHSJS is a regional Hebrew high school serving students in eighth through 12th grades.
Students, who come from all across Bergen and Passaic counties, select their classes from a wide range of courses including ethics, current events, art and drama, Bible, Jew-ish philosophy, Israel, and Torah. A snack break between classes gives students time to socialize. The school publishes a newsletter and provides social activities including trips to New York City, rock climbing, escape rooms, and more. Shabbatonim or weekend retreats and several community involvement programs also highlight the school year.
