BCHSJS has busy month

The Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies recently held three programs, including a lecture by Hussein Aboubakr, a former Muslim and Egyptian prisoner. StandWithUs, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to informing the public about Israel and to combating extremism and anti-Semitism, brought the program to BCHSJS.

The school also hosted a fall overnight that included activities at SkyZone in Allendale and Havadalah, pizza, gym activities, and a pre-Chanukah party at the JCC of Paramus/Congregation Beth Tikvah. The school also had a Kristallnacht commemoration, presented to students and faculty, which included the screening of a student-made video. Students also read passages written by Kristallnacht survivors.
