Backstage view of Yiddish ‘Fiddler’ in Teaneck this week

Black Box Studios & the Black Box Performing Arts Center present a special fundraiser, “The Yiddish Fiddler On The Roof: A Backstage View,” on October 9, at 8 p.m., at Debonair Music Hall in Teaneck. The one-night-only event is with Zalmen Mlotek of Teaneck, the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene’s artistic director, and with members of the cast.

The presentation is not a performance of the show, which the Folksbiene is presenting at the Museum of Jewish Heritage — A Living Memorial to the Holocaust. Attendees will learn about the creation of the production, hear musical numbers from the show, and participate in a question-and-answer session.

Funds raised will support the Teaneck Chamber of Commerce’s Cultural Arts Committee. For information, go to www.BlackBoxPac.com or call (201) 357-2221.
