The Jewish National Fund held its 50th annual reception in Teaneck on December 11 at Congregation Beth Sholom in Teaneck. The evening continued JNF’s historic mission of supporting and enabling new projects in Israel, including reservoirs, parks, and the Sapir clinic in the Arava.

Teaneck JNF’s founding members, Helen and Robert Levine, Janice and Gerald Rosen, and Charles Shain were honored, and they all were given the New Jersey General Assembly Citations and Commendations award. Circle of Excellence awardees were Karen Shawn and Keith Breiman, Ellen and Richard Gertler, Janice and Norman Levin, and Marcia Eagle and Melvin Reichman.

Russell Robinson, JNF’s CEO, was the guest speaker. “The event honored Teaneck’s founding committee members, who have recognized local residents who have been JNF supporters, from rabbis to community leaders to local merchants,” he said.
