AFMDA celebrating 90 years of saving Israeli lives

Join American Friends of Magen David Adom online on Sunday, November 8, at 7:30 p.m., for a program, “90 Years of Saving Lives in Israel,” that will celebrate Israel’s lifesavers and help save lives in Israel.

The lineup of guests and performers include actor Jason Alexander; comedian Howie Mandel; actress Gal Gadot; violinists Itzhak Perlman and Miri Ben-Ari; actor Lior Raz; singers David Broza, Idan Raichel, and Gad Elbaz; mentalist Lior Suchard; and actor/singer Jarrod Spector.

Magen David Adom’s story is about the Israeli EMTs and paramedics who devote their own lives to saving other people’s lives. Magen David Adom is Israel’s national ambulance, blood-services, and disaster-relief organization, and it also is Israel’s representative to the International Red Cross. Like most Red Cross societies, it is not a government agency and relies on funding. Gifts help to save lives and can make a difference for the people of Israel, especially now, as they face the dual threats of coronavirus and attacks from terrorist groups.
