‘Single-minded devotion’
In Philadelphia, I grew up with Marilyn Henry as a neighbor and as a classmate of my sister in grade school and then in high school. After losing touch, Marilyn came to Jerusalem about 20 years ago and stopped by to say hello. Although she had made it in the top levels of journalism, she confided that she had a calling to use her journalistic skills to help the Jewish people. Her single-minded devotion to the injustice that was meted out to the survivors of the Nazi horrors reflected that calling. She was one of a kind and she will be missed.
