Shel Haas of Fort Lee, who states that Rush Limbaugh’s pronouncements represent today’s popular thinking and that Barack Obama is spending our children’s money, typifies the worst element of today’s party politics. He is in effect saying, I’ve got mine and who cares about everyone else. There are no constructive thoughts coming from Limbaugh and Glenn Beck but hatred and misleading statements aplenty. The stimulus, among other things, has succeeded in holding the education system together and maintaining jobs of law enforcement personnel in many states. Barack Obama took the reins in the beginning of a severe recession and with the nation involved in two wars. I’m sure Mr. Haas would tell us that George W. Bush would have done much better.
