‘More urgent than ever’

‘More urgent than ever’

We want to thank the community for supporting Jewish Family Service’s eighth annual Night of 100 Dinners on Saturday, Dec. 5. We successfully raised more $80,000, all of which will go back directly into the community. More than 300 supporters came out for a cocktail reception graciously hosted by the Englewood Hospital and Medical Center and then dinners in 22 homes throughout Bergen County. This year, with more than a 77 percent increase in people asking for help at JFS, the need is more than ever.

This year, to date, we are serving upwards of 191 people with Kosher Meals on Wheels, we have worked with 54 clients in the Job Search Network, 24 of whom have found employment, and received more than 2,000 calls asking for help. We are gratified that we can count on the community to partner with us in helping the community during this economic crisis.

JFS was able to provide help because of the generous support of the community and we want to say thank you for supporting the Night of 100 Dinners and for supporting Jewish Family Service throughout the year. Now, when our donors are our recipients, it is more urgent than ever.
