‘A privilege to cross paths’

‘A privilege to cross paths’

Thank you to for your editorial tribute to the gifted writer and journalist Marilyn Henry. I was interviewed by Ms. Henry for a few different articles and found her insightful. She knew how to ask the questions to get beyond the headlines. She was always interesting, and actually fun to speak with, which I had the opportunity to do at a few events. The community at large will miss her greatly.

Her writing was superb. I could not forget how honestly and movingly she wrote about her choices in dealing with her advancing cancer. She was so forthright and truthful, with few apologies. It was an honor to meet Marilyn Henry, an honor to be interviewed by her, and a privilege to cross paths. I know her husband, Rabbi Shammai Engelmayer, her family, and many admirers will be comforted by her many good works and the wonderful, inspiring written words she leaves behind.
