‘A new vulgarization’
I differ with David S. Robin, who wrote the Dec. 18 letter “In defense of Sarah Palin.”
Regarding the recent comment about Palin by Abraham Foxman of the Anti-Defamation League, I see no conflict between her support for Israel and the “simplistic” nature of her recent remarks, which lacked sophistication and real substance.
Kindly note also that I was appalled when the Grand Old Party (GOP) in the 2008 presidential election selected Palin as its vice-presidential nominee, a candidate who, in my view, was a symptom of a new vulgarization of American politics.
