On Thanksgiving morning, as part of Congregation Beth Aaron’s Project Thanks, nearly two dozen shul children and their families went to Teaneck Fire Department headquarters on Teaneck Road. Rabbi Larry Rothwachs and Alden Leifer, the chair of Project Thanks, joined them for the sixth Project Thanks firehouse visit. Acting Fire Chief Jordan Zaretsky helped coordinate the event.

The program gives thanks to the town’s firefighters by providing a turkey dinner with all the trimmings to the Teaneck firefighters on duty in all the fire stations on Thanksgiving.

Beth Aaron families contributed to the endeavor, which was catered by Ma’adan of Teaneck. Surplus funds will be used to enhance the shul’s safety and security.
