A gala evening of caring
On Sunday, November 18, Jewish Family and Children’s Services of Northern New Jersey held its annual gala at the Edgewood Country Club in River Vale. Passionate JFCS supporters Shira Feuerstein, Alan Scharfstein, and Jayne Petak were honored for their long-term contributions to the organization.
After a strolling dinner, Susan Greenbaum, the organization’s CEO, and Debbie Harris, its board president, talked about JFCS programs and services and staff members told the stories of some of their clients. The evening’s proceeds will support the agency’s operations, including mental health counseling, senior services, kosher meals-on-wheels, services for Holocaust survivors, and food pantries.
