A Christie corona correction
Last week on this page, we passed along a report from the New York Post that the bar mitzvah of the nephew of former Governor Chris Christie sparked a corona outbreak that closed down the Mendham Township Middle School for a day last month.
It turns out that’s not exactly what happened.
In fact, it wasn’t a bar mitzvah, the former governor’s brother, Todd Christie, told the New Jersey Globe; “It was a b’nai mitzvah.” It seems that Todd Christie and his wife, Andrea, have two sons who were celebrating reaching the age of mitzvot. The Christies also have three other children; all tested positive after the party.
We regret the error and agree with Mr. Christie’s remarks to the Globe: “When writing about a family, it’s always nice to get it right.”
