A call for stem cells

The following came to the paper today from this child’s mother. Please do what you can.

Ezra Jordan Fineman is 18 months old and loves the alphabet, music and his tricycle. He has a rare primary immune deficiency called Hyper IgM Syndrome. The only cure is a stem cell transplant. He needs to find a donor that is his perfect match. That perfect match for Ezra or another patient could be YOU.

Please swab your cheek for Ezra and other patients in need. Ezra’s best chance of finding a match lies with those of Jewish ancestry. A bone marrow donor drive will be held on Sunday, November 7 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Ahavat Achim, 18-25 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410.
