5K run/walk for recovery and remembrance

The Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce holds its 10th annual Recovery Rally, a 5K Walk/Run for Recovery & Remembrance, on Sunday, September 10, at Rockland Lake State Park. A 5K walk/run is at 8 a.m.; a kids fun run is at 9:30. A “Recovery Celebration” including music, food, speakers, yoga, face painting, tricky tray, and information, is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

National Recovery Month is a national observance held in September to remind Americans that substance use treatment and mental health services can allow people with a mental or substance abuse disorder to live healthy and rewarding lives.
