Bible scholar coming to Ridgewood shul

Professor Dennis T. Olson will be the Adele Rebell scholar-in-residence at Temple Israel in Ridgewood this Shabbat weekend.

Tonight’s service will begin at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and Dr. Olson’s presentation on “Creation, Chaos and Hope in the Bible and Today.” The Saturday service will begin at 9 a.m., followed by a kiddush luncheon and Dr. Olson’s presentation on “Multicultural Views of God in the Book of Exodus.”

These presentations are part of Temple Israel & JCC’s ongoing lecture series and will be in person only. Everyone is welcome, and there will be no cost for the dinner and luncheon.
