WATCH: The wildest music video ever made from a psalm

It's possible this video was conceived when someone realized a potential pun involving a psalm and an alcoholic beverage.

In Hebrew, the word ‘Uzo’ means ‘His strength’ – and in the case of Psalm 150 the strength in question it God’s. But Ouzo is also a beverage nearly identical to the Israeli favorite Arak.

Add in some colorful challah baking, a party filled with young Israelis reclaiming their traditional songs and heritage on their own terms and you have a fascinating video. The tune is also very catchy.

Anna RF is an Electro–Ethnic–Reggae group. The phrase anna RF is an Arabic-Hebrew expression which has a double meaning – “I know” and “I don’t know”, that is the concept behind the band.

Anna RF was formed in a tiny desert village called “Shaharut”. The band creates music that combines the beauty of different cultures and brings people together in a joyful celebration of unity. The groups sound is a mix between east and west, blending ancient and modern instruments with a live-electronic touch. The massage of the songs is one of happiness and freedom.

The video features Gabriel Meyer Halevy as well. Halevy specializes in Hebrew sacred music, as well as interfaith ritual and spirituality. He’ll be performing on November 16, 2015 at Princeton University at 8pm.
