WATCH: If Sarah sang about the binding of Isaac

This haunting melody is beautiful on so many levels.

The band ‘Girls in Trouble’ just put out this new song, “River So Wide,” saying it is a “gothic bluegrass murder ballad about Sarah’s experience of Abraham taking Isaac up the mountain.

The song will appear on their third album “Open the Ground.”

Based on a midrash about her experience, the song’s lyrics, music, vocals, fiddle and electric guitar are performed by Alicia Jo Rabins; with bass by Aaron Hartman and acoustic guitars and mandolin by Michael Daves.
