‘The third Lebanon war’ – Battle Hummus

There’s no Kitchen Stadium, no chairman, and the secret ingredient is known to all: The chickpea.

Israel and Lebanon, which have been locked in an official state of war for more than 60 years, have widened the battlefield to culinary heights. In October, Lebanon set a record for the world’s largest serving of hummus. This week, Israel shattered that record. The Jerusalem Post reported on the heated battle between these two old foes.
