The power of PR

Israel is once again late to the party of public relations. Even though Israel is now releasing video after video showing that the activists aboard the Turkish ship Mavi Marmara initiated combat, the minds of the international community have already been made up, largely thanks to the powerful images and testimony released FIRST by the activists and their supporters.

Tonight in New York some friends of Israel plan to help disseminate the videos that the IDF is now desperately trying to get out.

JTA reports that Vice President Biden last night came out in support of the Israelis, saying “It’s legitimate for Israel to say, ‘I don’t know what’s on that ship. These guys are dropping eight — 3,000 rockets on my people.”

“As we put pressure, and the world put pressure on Israel to let material go into Gaza to help those people who are suffering, the ordinary Palestinians there, what happened?” he asked. “Hamas would confiscate it, put it in a warehouse, sell it.”
