Your cover photo and story of Rabbi David Feldman – a veritable “Talmud Chacham” who made great contributions to Jewish biomedical ethics – was greatly appreciated (“Remembering Rabbi David Feldman,” December 5).

I believe this was the second time the rabbi’s photo appeared on your cover. In 1983, as president of the Bergen County Medical Society, I invited Rabbi Feldman to address the doctors on medical ethics. Two non-Jewish clergymen joined the discussion.

It was reported by the Standard on 10/7/83, with Rabbi Feldman’s photo on the cover.
