Phoebe Snow z’l covers Bob Dylan
Phoebe Snow died Tuesday. The singer and songwriter, most famous for her hit “Poetry Man,” was raised in Teaneck. Her story is fascinating and moving; she effectively gave up the music business to raise her disabled daughter.
This YouTube clip features her 1980 cover of Bob Dylan’s “I Believe in You,” one of his most moving songs from his Christian Slow Train Coming Album. Courtesy of The Bob Dylan Examiner, which has more on her connections to Dylan.
