Anti-Israel propaganda is rampant in the Arab world. The coach of the Egyptian national soccer team gave a perfect display of how he has been taught to hate in this Jerusalem Post report.
Responding to a question from an Israeli reporter, he said:
“Even if it was the only team in the world and requested my services I would refuse ““ how could they think that I would come to coach the team of a country that murders children, women and the elderly, and help elevate the name of the team that represents occupation?”
Not only does he appear ignorant of Egypt’s occupation of the Palestinians from 1948-1967, Egypt’s refusal to provide resettle or aid Palestinians since 1967, and Egypt’s role in the blockade of Gaza, but he appears genuinely shocked to learn that Israelis do something other than murder Arabs.
“All my life I’ve heard that Israel kills Arabs, fires missiles and destroys Arab villages, but this is the first time in my life that I’ve heard that in Israel they play soccer.”
Golda Meir said there will be peace when the Arabs learn to love their children more than they hate Israel. Hassan Shehata illustrates the mindless hatred still taught to children.
