Rockland friendship walk/family fun day is May 6
More than 600 people are expected to walk in support of children with special needs at the Friendship Circle of Rockland’s Friendship Walk, set for Sunday, May 6, at the RCC Fieldhouse, 145 College Road, at Rockland Community College, 145 College Road in Suffern. (Use the viola entrance.) Registration opens at noon, and online registration is until May 5. All proceeds will fund social and educational experiences for people with special needs
After the walk, participants and their families are invited to celebrate and enjoy a fair with inflatables, rides, art, face painting, and an open vendor booth market. There will also be a “Cirque Tacular Show” performance.
“Rockland Friendship Walk helps develop a strong sense of community, while showing support for special children and their families,” the organization’s director, Devorah Sirota, said.
