Next year in Orlando!
A quick recap of the final day of the General Assembly: The conference came to a close Tuesday afternoon with an address by White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. Ari Teman, founder of JCorps. and a Teaneck native, won the Jewish Community Hero of the Year contest. The UJA Federation of Northern New Jersey delegation then had a private meeting with JAFI head and former prisoner of Zion Natan Sharansky.
And now you’re probably asking, “Where’s all the coverage???”
Well, your intrepid reporter seems to have come down with a little bit of a cold. It began to hit me on Sunday and was in full swing by Tuesday. Fear not, I managed to get all my articles about these events in on time for this week’s issue, so you can read all about the Sharansky meeting, Teman, and Emanuel there with accompanying JTA coverage in the pages of The Jewish Standard or on the Website. Or, sign on to Twitter and follow @JewishStandard for a series of updates from the GA.

I’m going to have a glass of orange juice, some chicken soup, and go back to bed. This is The Big Lipowsky, signing off. Good night.
(For those confused by the title, next year’s GA will be held in Orlando, with DIsney World instead of Capitol Hill. I wonder if Michael Eisner will be a speaker?)
