Exactly 40 years ago, on Aug. 15 1968, I made my first aliyah to Israel. Well, it wasn’t really my decision and no one asked for my opinion or waited for my approval.
My parents, Sheila and Geoff, and their three young children, 7, 5, and ‘ years old, immigrated to Israel from a very small town in the northeast of England.
