On Monday, September 9, the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly dedicated a memorial to the victims massacred by Hamas on October 7 last year, and to the heroic members of the IDF who are risking and at times losing their lives to keep Israel free.
The low-key ceremony included short talks by the JCC’s CEO, Steve Rogers, and the executive director of the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey, Jason Shames, and offered community a members the chance to light yizkor candles in memory of the terror victims and the soldiers who have fallen since that black day.
