Hadassah New Jersey goes to Capitol Hill

Advocates from New Jersey held bipartisan meetings this week in Washington. They focused on strengthening the United States-Israel relationship, combating antisemitism, and advancing women’s health research.

Hadassah members met with Senator Andy Kim and representatives from the offices Rep. Donald Norcross, Rep. Robert Menendez, Rep. Frank Pallone, Rep. Herb Conaway, and Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, all Democrats, and Republican Rep. Jefferson Van Drew. (The House was not in session then.)

The delegation raised key issues, including increased funding for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program to ensure the safety of places like synagogues, Jewish communal agencies, and Jewish schools.
