Fun. received six Grammy nominations for the 55th Grammy Awards and were the first rock band to receive nominations in all “big four” categories: record of the year, album of the year, song of the year, and best new artist.

“Some Nights” was named one of the top albums of the year by Rolling Stone, SPIN, NPR, and Entertainment Weekly, which also named fun. one of their “entertainers of the year.”

“We Are Young” was No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks. The song was No. 1 on the Billboard Digital Songs chart for seven weeks, becoming the first song ever to log seven weeks or more of sales surpassing 300,000, breaking Eminem’s five-week record, for “Love The Way You Lie.”

“Some Nights” was named one of the top songs of 2012 by Billboard, Entertainment Weekly & Rolling Stone.

Fun. was the first band in more than a decade to score a Billboard “Hot 100″ No. 1 on its debut charting song. The last rock band to achieve this was Nickelback with “How You Remind Me” in 2001.

Fun. was the first band since 2007 to send its first two “Hot 100″ entries (“We Are Young” & “Some Nights”) to the Top 10.

“We Are Young” was the first No. 1 by a rock band on the Billboard “Hot 100″ since Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida” in 2008.
