For the first time, summer camps at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades will be open to non-members as well as members. To showcase all its exciting offerings, the JCC welcomes the community to Family Fun Day on Sunday, February 3, from 1 to 3 p.m.

The JCC’s camps, for 3- to 14-year-olds, include a daily swim, lunch, snacks, towel service, and access to transportation and extended care.

At Family Fun Day, families can enjoy an afternoon of Neil Klatskin Summer Camp activities including sports, dance, drama, art, science, and technology, as well as face painting, balloon making, a moon bounce, and more. Participants also will get to meet camp directors, leaders, and specialists.

The programs at the Neil Klatskin Day Camp (a traditional camp for 3-year-olds to second-graders) includes Red Cross instructional swim and Hebrew immersion options. The Neil Klatskin Specialty Camps for Grades 3+ include options in fine arts, science, Big Idea Hi-Tech, Multi-Sport, basketball and tennis, Dance Intensive, Center Stage Musical Theater, Broadway Showtime, and comedic acting. For families looking to fill the time between school and camp, and then between camp and school, there also are many full-day mini-camp options in sports, dance, music, and more.

Families who register for camp at Family Fun Day will get $50 JCC Cash per week and will be entered into a raffle to win one free week of camp. Campers returning to Specialty Camps save an extra $50 per week as well. Families who decide to sign up for an annual JCC family membership that day also will receive $200 JCC Cash to use on any JCC camp or class.

Parents who cannot attend but have questions about camp or want to schedule a tour can call the camp office at (201) 567-8963 or email nkdc@jccotp.org.
